This policy explains what Opinova Research ("we", "us") collects from panel members and visitors, how it's used, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details you provide: name, email address, state, age range, and any profile answers you choose to fill in.
- Survey responses you submit through our partners' studies.
- Payout details: the PayPal email you provide for payment.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, collected through standard server logs and cookies.
How we use it
- To match you with surveys that fit your profile.
- To send survey invitations and account emails.
- To credit your balance and send payouts.
- To detect duplicate accounts, fraud, and low-quality responses.
- To operate and improve the site.
Who we share it with
Survey responses are shared with the research partner running that study, in a form that does not include your name or email unless the survey specifically asks for them and you provide them. We share your PayPal email with PayPal to send payments. We use service providers for hosting, email delivery, and form handling; they process data only on our instructions. We do not sell your personal information and do not share your contact details with advertisers.
Cookies
We use cookies needed for the site to work and, if you visit through an advertisement, standard advertising cookies from platforms such as Meta to measure whether the ad led to a sign-up. You can block cookies in your browser.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from survey invitations using the link in any email.
- Ask us to correct, export, or delete your account data by emailing hello@opinovaresearch.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
- Residents of California and other states with privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to know what we hold and to opt out of sale. We don't sell data, and you can exercise the other rights by email.
Retention
We keep account data while your account is active and for up to 12 months after it is closed, unless a longer period is required for payment records or legal reasons.
Children
The panel is for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 and will delete it if we learn we have.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way we'll email members and update the date above.
